Kids Needed for "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

Kids ages 7-14 are invited to audition for the "Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" Choir. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers, and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows the preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with the Egyptian noble Potiphar but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family. Additional info: Come prepared with 16 bars of an appropriate song and sheet music. An accompanist will be provided. Everyone will be expected to go through a movement/dance audition. The children will be called for rehearsals on Sundays (typically the first rehearsal block) leading up to the time when we move into the theatre for rehearsals. First rehearsal, February 23rd. Performances: April 25 - May 10, 2025 Performances are Thursday - Sunday. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00 PM, Saturdays (May 3rd & 10th) and Sundays at 2:00 PM. If interested, please apply.
