"Other Desert Cities" Show Needs Teens
Seeking ages 17 and up from North Central Texas College for the "Other Desert Cities" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Brooke Wyeth returns home to Palm Springs after six years to celebrate Christmas with her parents, her brother, and her aunt (Conservative Suburban Jewish Family). Brooke announces that she is about to publish a memoir dredging up a pivotal and tragic event in the family’s history-a wound they don’t want reopened. In effect, she draws a line in the sand and dares them all to cross it. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold reads from the script. Sides will be provided. Any auditioner under the age of 18 must bring (or email) a parental permission slip attached. Rehearsals will be held at the NCTC Denton Campus. Rehearsals will run from 6-9 pm. We will typically meet for 5 days per week to rehearse, though you may not be called to every rehearsal. Specific rehearsal days will be determined based on cast availability. Rehearsals will begin Monday, February 3rd. The show runs from February 28th - March 9th on Fri/Sat/Sun. If interested, please apply.
