About the project: "Moments of Truth" is a series of short films based on real stories across the United States. In life, there are moments where everything changes—and sometimes one person’s love and strength can transform a difficult experience into something unforgettable. These roles will emphasize emotional depth. In "Timing", the third film in the series, a father and daughter share an extraordinary bond. Arthur, a devoted father, learns he has limited time left and goes on hospice, but he can’t bear to tell his daughter, Eve, the truth. Knowing the pain this news would bring her, he chooses to keep his diagnosis to himself. The hospice nurse, sensing the need for closure, encourages Arthur to record a video message—a farewell he can leave behind for Eve to discover after he’s gone. This tender, final gesture creates an unforgettable moment that will allow her to feel his presence even after he’s no longer there. Timing explores the powerful balance between love, loss, and the courage to say goodbye. Rate: Paid. Budget: $300 (1 day of filming) Additional info: When: December 9-11, 2024 (dates vary by role). She feels the weight of the family’s grief and tries to act maturely during the wake and funeral, sensing the tension in the air—while her younger sibling, Artie, is more interested in having fun.
