Kid Actors Needed for "The Wizard of Oz" Show
Performers ages 8 and up are invited to audition for "The Wizard of Oz" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Join Dorothy Gale on an unforgettable journey as she is swept away from her Kansas farm by a cyclone and lands in the magical Land of Oz. Lost and desperate to find her way back home, Dorothy embarks on an adventure along the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, where the great and powerful Wizard of Oz is said to grant wishes. Along the way, she befriends a Scarecrow longing for a brain, a Tin Man yearning for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion in search of courage. Together, they face challenges from the Wicked Witch of the West and discover the true meaning of friendship, bravery, and self-discovery. Additional info: Be ready to sing from the provided audition song list and read the selected scenes from the attached audition packet (printed sides will be provided at the audition). Note for Munchkins: Children aged 8–12 who are no taller than 4 feet are encouraged to audition for these roles. Teens auditioning for principal roles: Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Glinda, Wicked Witch, or Wizard. Choose one song from the audition song list to perform. Be prepared to sing an additional song if requested. Be ready to read selected scenes from this audition packet (printed sides will be provided at the audition).
