Children between the ages of 8 and 14 are invited to audition for "A Picnic with Patricia Polacco" Show. Please see the details below.
About the project:
Play is based on 3 books written by author, Patricia Polacco. The play includes a group of 4 characters telling those stories: Trisha (Patricia Polacco), Richard (her rotten red-headed older brother, Bubby (her Grandmother), and Grandpa. Each story comes to life by the characters on the stage. The books are Meteor, Thundercake, and The Bee Tree.
Additional info:
Prepare one of the attached monologues and be prepared to read one of the scenes with another actor. Read about each character to help you make that character come to life in your audition! You do not need to memorize the part, but at least know it so you don’t stumble over the words.
Every cast member will be in the last story, Meteor. There is a song and a dance that is a part of the last story.
