During the workshop, auditionees will first review the prerecorded dance sequence. (You can prepare ahead of time for your dance audition by reviewing the video of the dance audition on the Lyric website.) Next, you will learn an additional choreographed sequence and perform both sequences as a group for your audition. *There will be an optional tap workshop and audition for those interested in being featured in the musical numbers “Positoovity” and “Positaggity.” There will be no advance Tap Video for review. VOCAL & READING WORKSHOP The vocal & reading workshop will allow you to review and sing the vocal selections as a group, with piano accompaniment. During this time, please use any downtime to practice your chosen reading if you haven’t done so beforehand. *While you are not required to memorize your vocal or reading selections, familiarity with them will benefit you and make your audition much less stressful. During this audition, you will be required to sing an ascending and descending scale with the piano, perform one vocal selection with the piano, and perform one reading selection. Each member of your audition group will perform their reading and vocal selection individually. CALLBACKS Callbacks will be held on Saturday, 12/7.
