Young Talent Wanted for "Got It Good" Show

Seeking ages 16 and up for the "Got It Good" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Can a hot young designer take on the green-washing of a conglomerate? Can a high schooler take on the narrow-mindedness of a school board trying to ban books? 2 daughters struggle to find their way in a world filled with both idealism and cynicism. How will their mom create her own new story as she faces the joys and challenges of an empty nest? This coming-of-age tale features a family of 3 women at different ages and stages of their lives as they discover the forces of nature they are destined to be. Additional info: Prepare 32 bars of 2 contrasting songs that represent your vocal range. Accompanist provided. Please bring music in the key you will be singing. You can complete the audition form attached in advance and bring it with you. You may bring a resume and/or headshot to attach. You will be asked to complete a conflict calendar, so please have your conflicts available. Performances will be held at the Writer’s Center in Bethesda on February 22-23 and Feb 28, Mar 1-2, 2025. Directors will have a readthrough of the musical on Saturday, December 7 from 1 pm-4 pm. Rehearsals will be at the Church of Christ at Manor Woods, 5300 Norbeck Rd, Rockville, MD 20853 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-10 pm and as well as Saturday from 10 am-1 pm, beginning on January 4. Tech week begins February 16. All voices should be comfortable with a contemporary pop mixed sound. If interested, please apply.
