Seeking Teens for "Fiddler on the Roof" Show
Looking for performers ages 16 and up for the "Fiddler on the Roof" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of a changing world. Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness. The classic score features “Sunrise, Sunset,” “Matchmaker,” and “If I Were a Rich Man.” Additional info: Come prepared with a vocal solo of 32 bars (not from Fiddler on the Roof) of a Golden Age/Post-Golden Age musical (1940s-1970s) or similar style. Please bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. No a cappella solos. All other materials will be provided. No accents or dialects will be used.
