About the project: Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Additional info: Callbacks: Saturday, December 7, 9:00 AM Please prepare two 32-bar cuts of musical theatre songs in the style of this show, not to exceed 2 minutes each in length. Those auditioning for named roles should also prepare a 60 - 90-second monologue. Those auditioning for an ensemble role only do not need to prepare a monologue, but are welcome to do so if desired. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring printed music in the correct key properly marked. Company Meeting and Start of Rehearsals on January 13, 2025 The normal rehearsal schedule will be 5 - 8 pm M, W, and F evenings. Tech begins on March 26, 2025. Performances are April 4 - 13, 2025.
