Young Actors Needed for "Pride and Prejudice" Play
Seeking young actors for the play "Pride and Prejudice." Please check the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: No callbacks. Casting will be announced within a week. All are welcome. Inclusive casting (aka colorblind casting). British accents are required for all roles, RP preferred. With the exception of tech week and performances, all minors will have a rehearsal curfew of 9:30 pm. Multiple smaller roles will likely be played by the same actor. Rehearsal will be approx. 4 times a week, on weekday evenings or Sundays, schedule tbd based on cast conflicts. If you are interested please apply.

Our story’s heroine and the second eldest Bennet daughter. She is an intelligent and spirited young woman who possesses a keen wit and enjoys studying people's characters and delighting in anything ridiculous.
A gentle and kind-hearted young woman who is Elizabeth's confidant and the oldest of the Bennet daughters. She falls in love with Bingley but is cautious about revealing the depth of her feelings for him.
The pretentious third Bennet daughter. Bookish and pedantic, she prefers reading over socializing.
The Bennet's girlish and peevish fourth daughter, she is a follower who joins her sister Lydia in flirting with soldiers.
The Bennet's selfish, brash, and irresponsible youngest daughter. Mrs. Bennet's favorite, she shocks the family by running away with Wickham. ***
A good-natured and considerably wealthy man who falls in love with Jane. He is genial but easily influenced by others, especially by his close friend Darcy.
Bingley's shallow and haughty sister, who befriends Jane and later snubs her. She attempts to attract Darcy's attentions and is jealously vindictive when Darcy is drawn to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth's sensible and pragmatic friend who disappoints Elizabeth by marrying Mr. Collins for money and security at the fear of her continued spinsterhood.
A handsome and personable soldier who is discovered to be a fortune hunter. At first, he appears to be charming, eliciting great sympathy and affection, but his façade eventually cracks when his disreputable past is discovered. He eventually runs off with and is forced to marry Lydia.
