About the project: A teenager, consumed by video games, consistently rebuffs his parents' attempts at bonding. His perspective shifts dramatically when a friend visits, revealing a painful longing for the family he's lost. The boy's eyes open to the value of what he's been taking for granted. However, he's capable of empathy and learning important life lessons, especially when confronted with his friend's loss. Can Jaxon change his ways before it's too late?
LEAD ROLE. Barrett is Jaxon's friend who visits and becomes excited about family activities. He goes along with Jaxon's preference for gaming but feels bad for Jaxon's parents. Barrett reveals he was abandoned as a child and lost his grandparents in an accident after neglecting them for video games. How does Barrett cope with his past while trying to help his friend?
