Singing Audition for "Little Women" Show
Seeking ages 16 and up for "Little Women" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on Louisa May Alcott's life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested – her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking this advice, Jo weaves the story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Additional info: Rehearsal Schedule Rehearsals will take place January 21-March 13 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6-10pm), and Sundays (3-10pm) There are additional evening rehearsals during tech week. Most rehearsals take place at Lancaster Alliance Church. Performance Schedule: Performances will be touring across Lancaster County to schools, retirement communities, and other venues from March 14 - April 12. When applying, please send a video with both a song and a scene for the character you are interested in being considered for (see the attachment for audition material). You may be asked to read additional scenes or read for additional characters.

Vocal range: A3-G5 Soprano The second youngest of the sisters. Timid and musical, Beth encourages and helps her sisters selflessly. Forms an unlikely friendship with the crotchety Mr Laurence but tragically dies of scarlet fever in Act 2.
Vocal range: B3-Gb5 Soprano The youngest sister who yearns for a sophisticated life, Amy is the baby of the family and is used to getting her own way. Ladylike and elegant, she eventually marries Laurie.
Vocal range: Bb2-Bb4 Lonely and charming boy next door who becomes firm friends with the March family. Proposes to Jo but eventually falls in love with and marries Amy.
