Seeking young talent for an upcoming singing audition for "Cinderella." Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Non-Equity NO PAY Additional info: REHEARSAL DATES November 11, 2024 through January 30, 2025 7:00 - 10:00 pm Monday - Thursday 6:00 pm call time tech week Saturdays during the day One Sunday for tech PLEASE NOTE: Rehearsal end time is highly approximate. There will be no specified end time during tech week. The directors will be very respectful of everyone's time. PERFORMANCE DATES January 31 – March 2, 2025 (19 performances over 5 weeks) Weekends 1 & 2 | FRI 7:30, SAT 7:30, SUN 2:00 Weekends 3, 4 & 5 | FRI 7:30, SAT 2:00 & 7:30, SUN 2:00 There is one School Show performance on the morning of Wednesday, February 5, 2025 All performances are mandatory. Callbacks will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 Please prepare one (1) minute of a song in the style of the show and bring an alternate selection as a backup (in some cases, the casting team may wish to hear more). Do not sing a song from the show. You may not sing a cappella. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. OR For an instrumental track from a phone or other device, please have the audio edited, cued, and saved locally on your device. No streaming audio or wireless access will be provided. Dance will be taught at the audition. Please wear/bring appropriate clothing and dance shoes. Please provide a résumé and headshot, if you have one. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - List ALL commitments and potential commitments that occur during the rehearsal period – even those that are on days that are not currently listed as rehearsal days. - The rehearsal schedule will be built around the cast’s availability. - No conflicts will be accepted for performance dates or the week before opening. - No additional conflicts will be accepted after casting. - Post-audition feedback will not be given. Like her late father, she is determined to see the good in everyone despite her hardships and suffering. A mislead and deceived prince who desires to do something important with his life now that he’s returned from university. He is brave and heroic; thoughtful and innocent with a natural goofiness; moral, genuine and kindhearted – but also lonely and unfulfilled. Charming but not a stereotypical ladies’ man, Topher strives to become a great ruler like his parents. (strong mover, waltzing/partner dance experience a plus) Baritone/Tenor C#3-A4
Ella’s self-centered stepmother. A ravenous social climber, she values wealth, status and possessions above all else. Unapologetically dismissive and sometimes cruel. (mover) Mezzo-Soprano C4-D5
The kingdom’s Lord Chancellor, he’s been Topher’s advisor since the death of the King and Queen. He is devious, selfish, and dishonest – and he’s kept Topher isolated and in the dark about the status of the Kingdom. (non-dancer) Tenor C3-F4
A friend to Ella and the town’s resident beggar woman ... but actually, a fairy godmother in disguise! Wise, warm, otherworldly, and charming. (non-dancer) Soprano A3-Ab5
Ella’s stepsister. She is not like her mother and sister; she is quietly passionate, empathetic and witty. Ironically aware that she does not fit in, she’s drawn to villager Jean-Michel … and is a true sister to Ella.(mover) Mezzo-Soprano C4-G5
