Kids Needed for National Children’s Chorus in DC

The National Children’s Chorus is seeking boys and girls. Please find the details below. ONLY TX, MA, IL, NY, DC, AND LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: In the Junior Division, students ages 5-12 with beginning or intermediate musical experience build their skills and gain confidence in encouraging and creative rehearsal environments and performances. Students participate in an exciting array of performances and specialized training, with weekly in-person rehearsals in DC’s Thomas Circle on Tuesday evenings (Prelude, Minuet, and Sonata Levels) or Sunday afternoons (Concerto Level). The Junior Division of the National Children’s Chorus consists of the Prelude Level, Minuet Level, Sonata Level, and Concerto Level. The audition will consist of the following elements: 1-on-1 Vocal Assessment with an NCC Conductor on Zoom Vocal exercises (repeat short scales given by the conductor to evaluate vocal development and range) Pitch matching (repeat pitches given by the conductor to evaluate intonation) Please note that there will be a participation fee applied.
