About the project: The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family. Rate: Non-Union Only. Additional info: CALLBACKS: Saturday, Nov 23rd from 5 pm-9 PM Sunday, Nov 24th from 11 am-3 PM (All callback materials will provided in advance.) PERFORMANCES: February 7-23, 2024 Rehearsals Begin: December 16, 2024 Run/Shoot: February 7, 2025 – February 23, 2025 Please prepare 32 bars or 1 minute of a song that best highlights your singing voice. No a cappella singing. Piano accompanist will be available. If you do not have sheet music, you may bring a digital accompaniment/backing track preloaded to your phone/device.
