About the project: In this comic sequel to Pride & Prejudice, bookish middle sister Mary is the unlikely heroine. When the family gathers for Christmas at the manor, an unexpected guest sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love. This droll and delicious holiday production honors Jane Austen’s humor and playfulness with a fizzy modern spin. Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley takes place in December 1815 in the English estate of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. Additional info: All characters speak in English accents and you may be asked to do so in auditions. Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.
