Talents Needed for 'From Brooklyn to Boca' New Stage Comedy
When a NY mob wise guy, Frank Rifiuto, decides to rat out his pals, the Feds relocate him, Regina and their 12-year-old son, Carmine, to Boca. The Italians become Jewish to fit ~ and the fun begins. The son needs great comic timing, teen attitude and a Brooklyn accent helps! There is some adult humor and an LGBT twist. Rehearsals weeknights in Dec with a holiday break. Performances Jan. 9 -19, 2025 at W. Plaza Real, Boca Raton, where the rehearsals will also be held. All actors are paid:5 weeks of rehearsal, 2 weeks of performance. Carmine is a 12-year-old boy from Brooklyn, if he has an accent that helps. He must have comic timing and a definite teen attitude. The actor should be comfortable around an adult cast and there is some adult humor in the script along with an LGTB twist. We will be very mindful of having a child in our rehearsals and performances. As director, I worked in children's theatre for many years. Our producer works with the Broward Children's Theatre.
