Casting Teen Performers for "Into the Woods" Show
Seeking actors ages 13 and up for "Into the Woods" Show. Please see the details below. Additional info: You will act with a group and read as an individual. You will learn minor choreography and move as a group. You will sing a warm-up with a group and then sing as an individual. You will likely be nervous, but the directors promise you’ll have some fun! Prepare a song selection of 32 bars. (NOTE: 2-minute maximum - in order to maximize audition time for everyone, you will be asked to stop singing if you go over 2 minutes, so please choose the part of the song that showcases your voice.) Please bring sheet music. Accompaniment will be provided. A Bluetooth speaker will be available for pre-recorded music. Please dress for movement. This show is not dance-heavy, but we will ask you to show the capability to demonstrate movement abilities. Must be available for all Tech Week & Performance Dates: Jan. 19 - Feb. 2, 2025. Loopy-but-lovely maiden, completely innocent of worldly matters. Needs strong vocal control in legit soprano range/style.
Cinderella’s stepsister, lovely but black of heart. Loud, energetic. Good character role.

The feckless giant killer. Eager to please, genuine/sincere, impulsive, a little slow of learning and misled by his lack of self-knowledge. High overall singing range, requires lovely lyric tenor quality.
Baritone: Bb2 – Gb4 Vain, gorgeous, self-dramatizing and endlessly confident. Womanizer: “I was raised to be charming, not sincere.” Very legit baritone quality. (Can be selected to double as the Wolf.)
Baritone: C#3 – Gb4 Younger brother of the above, and also of the same flawed character. Striving to beat his brother. Very legit baritone quality.
Hungry, insatiable, seductive. Great comedic role...only two scenes but he could easily steal both! Must be strong singer/character actor.
Baritone: G3 – Eb4 Intellectual, pleasant. Good storyteller who relates directly to the audience. Mainly spoken role with some singing lines.
Surly, bureaucratic, full of self-importance. No solo singing, only ensemble. Plenty of good lines.
