"Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella" Seeks Teenagers

About the project: SYNOPSIS: Step into a world where magic dances with sophistication as Rodgers and Hammerstein’s timeless tale of hope and transformation sparkles with wit and delight. With its magical moments and delightful songs, this enchanting musical transports you to a bygone era of elegance and charm, as Cinderella meets her prince and makes her journey from rags to riches with resilience and grace. Let yourself be swept away by a glittering spectacle that harkens back to a golden age of theater, leaving audiences of all ages spellbound with their dreams soaring and their hearts aglow. NOTE: This production is the “Enchanted” version that is based on the 1997 television production starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, not the recent Broadway production. Additional info: PREPARATION Please prepare your best 16-32 bars of a classic Broadway song in the style of Rodgers and Hammerstein that is suitable for the vocal type of the character(s) you are interested in. PLEASE NO SONGS FROM THE SHOW. All roles require at least ensemble singing. There are no non-signing roles. You may be asked to do cold readings from script and may be asked to learn basic choreography. Please bring a recent photo or headshot. Soprano. A charming young lady with the kindest heart in the kingdom. Sees the good in everyone despite her hardships and suffering from her Stepmother and stepsisters. Dreams of and is determined to find a better life for herself. Strong singer. Moves well.
Baritone/Tenor. Handsome, preferably tall. Charming and eligible yet lonely and unfulfilled. Strong singer Moves well.
Mezzo. One of Cinderella’s stepsisters. Self-centered, goofy young woman with a fatuous laugh and seemingly lacking in social skills and intelligence. Strong comedian. Character singer.
Mezzo – One of Cinderella’s stepsisters. Brash, and bratty young woman, who never passes up the opportunity to be the center of attention. Not particularly bright and a bit humorless. Strong comedian. Character singer.
Soprano. Prince’s loving mother. Runs the castle. Always wants the best for her son, and does her best to keep her husband in line. Serious, but always affectionate.
Tenor. Prince’s steward and right and hand. All-purpose man to King and Queen. Comedic. Strong singer. Big Voice.
