Casting Call for Girls for "White Christmas" Show

Looking for a girl ages 9-12 years old for the "White Christmas" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Two World War II army buddies, Bob Wallace, and Phil Davis, have become a very successful song and dance team, making it big in nightclubs, radio, and then on Broadway. They meet two sisters at a nightclub in New York and with romance in mind, follow the girls to a gig in Pine Tree, Vermont. Arriving at the inn, they discover there are no guests and more importantly, no snow! Ready to turn around and leave, the boys hesitate when they realize the innkeeper is their beloved former commanding general. Deciding to help out and bring the business up to the inn, Wallace and Davis relocate the entire cast and crew of their new musical. Before opening night, however, a misunderstood phone call threatens to ruin everything. Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs including “Blue Skies,” “Count Your Blessings,” “Sisters,” and of course, “White Christmas.” Additional info: Please come prepared with comfortable clothes you can move in if you are asked to stay for a dance audition. And bring appropriate footwear, including tap shoes if you have them. If you are cast in IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS, no additional conflicts, except those presented at your audition, will be accepted. Come prepared with a memorized up-tempo or ballad from the Classis Broadway repertory (Rodgers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Loewe, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin) that showcases your vocal range and personality. Song selections from IRVING BERLIN’S WHITE CHRISTMAS are encouraged for principal roles. Bring sheet music in your own key (no onsite transpositions). An accompanist will be provided. No tapes, karaoke tracks, or a cappella allowed. Please come prepared with comfortable clothes you can move in if you are asked to stay for a dance audition. And bring appropriate footwear, including tap shoes if you have them. Callbacks will be on Monday, September 30th, or Tuesday, October 1st, by invitation only. Not being called back in no way infers final casting decisions. Rehearsals will begin either Tuesday, October 1st or Wednesday, October 2nd. Resumes and headshots are welcome but not required. Show Dates: November 22–December 15, 2024, with the strong possibility of extending to December 23rd. There will be no performance on Thursday, November 28. Please have a complete list of any conflicts or possible conflicts you may have with rehearsals and performances between October 1–December 23. Rehearsal Dates: Rehearsals will begin either Tuesday, October 1st, or Wednesday, October 2nd. Rehearsals are Tuesday- Friday 7:00-10:00 pm; Saturday from 5:30-9:30 pm; Sunday from 12:00-6:00 pm, with the possibility of some Monday evening rehearsals from 7:00-10:00 pm.
