Auditions for the holiday classic "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". Looking for cast kids and teens. Please see the breakdown below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: The holiday classic soars off the screen in this musical adaptation of the beloved television special. Filled with holiday hits like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "A Holly Jolly Christmas," Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer features all of your favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph. It’s an adventure that teaches us that what makes you different can be what makes you special. Additional info: Directors will be casting approximately 25-30 cast members of ALL AGES, with the potential for some actors to be playing multiple parts. Since this is a character-heavy production, directors want to hear you sing from the show. Please prepare one of the songs attached for the character of your choosing. Callbacks: Friday, October 11th, 6:30 pm-9:30 pm. You must be able to attend callbacks. General Meeting: Monday, October 21st, 6:30 pm. They will be holding the first rehearsal directly after the general meeting, so be prepared to do a readthrough of the script. *There are mandatory show fees. The hero of the story! This loveable misfit struggles to fit in due to his glowing, red nose. A young buck. Youthful; physically agile; winning performer; vulnerable but strong; a solid singer. Vocal Range: G#3-D5
A bit of an odd elf-he doesn’t want to make toys; he wants to be a dentist! Charmingly apologetic, but with inner strength. Strong comic sensibility; must move well and have a strong character voice. Vocal Range G#3-D5
A young doe who takes a liking to Rudolph in spite of his glowing, red nose. SHe is kind to him and even goes to look for him after he runs away. Youthful; physically agile. Strong, willful, loving, flirtatious, Lilting pure soprano voice. Vocal Range: B3-C5
Humorless manager of the elves' workshop; only because hectares so much about making perfect toys for Santa. He doesn’t mean any harm; innate comic sensibility.
Rudolph's father and a proud member of the team who pulls Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve. Physically agile; tougher on the outside than he is on the inside.
Rudolph's mother. She loves her son and even sets off to find Rudolph after he runs away. Soft-spoken, quietly strong. A warm mezzo.
The coach in charge of training the yearlings. He is good at his job, even if he is a little gruff, and doesn’t take kindly at all to Rudolph’s glowing red nose. Physically agile; featured member of Santa's team; leads the reindeer games with coach-like quality.
One of the yearlings. He is not particularly nice to Rudolph after his glowing nose is revealed. Featured member of the chorus; young, sparky, boyish.
King of the Island of Misfit Toys. King Moonracer’s personality must come through his voice, which projects a strong, decisive personality; stern but warm.
