Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "White Christmas"

Searching for kids ages 9 and up for the "White Christmas" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is a classic Broadway-style musical based on the perennial favorite 1954 film of the same name. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters on route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With the inn facing a snowless Christmas and the general facing losing the inn to creditors, the four come up with a scheme to save the inn and the general’s pride. Additional info: Vocal Auditions and Readings - Please prepare up to 32 bars of a song for your audition, preferably in the style of the show. No accompanist will be provided. Please bring you accompaniment in the form of a song track. We will provide a device to play the track on. Sides from the script have been provided at the end of this packet. Choreography - A video of the audition piece will be made available to practice with before auditions. Please bring comfortable clothes you can move in and tap shoes if you have them. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, October 6. Rehearsals will generally take place Sunday - Thursday evenings with occasionally Saturday rehearsals called for particular groups or scenes. The weeks of November 17 and 24 will be full runs and the entire cast is needed. We will have off November 27 and 28 for Thanksgiving holiday. Performances Fridays & Saturdays, December 6 & 7, 13 & 14, 20 & 21 @ 7:30 PM Matinees December 8, 15, 22 @ 2:00 PM.
