About the project: Follow the journey of Dorothy Gale, a young girl from Kansas who is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. Desperate to return home, she embarks on a quest to meet the mysterious Wizard of Oz, who she believes can help her. Along the way, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow longing for a brain, a Tinman in search of a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wishes for courage. Together, they face challenges, confront the Wicked Witch of the West, and discover that the power to achieve their dreams was within them all along. Full of memorable songs, beloved characters, and enchanting moments, The Wizard of Oz is a timeless tale of friendship, bravery, and the importance of home. Additional info: Please come with a prepared song— either bring a Bluetooth device with your karaoke track or sheet music for the accompanist. We will have a Bluetooth speaker on hand. No monologues are necessary. Auditionees will learn a short movement combination, which will be sent out via email prior to the audition.
