Dance Opportunities for Teens in "The Prom: School Edition"
Seeking performers ages 14-18 years old for "The Prom: School Edition". Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together. Additional info: Parents/Guardians will need to come inside to fill out paperwork before auditions can begin but are free to leave once all is filled out. You'll start with learning a dance section to "It's Time to Dance" before moving on to let everyone perform their character song(s). Each auditionee needs to prepare at least one character song from the attachment. Note that the participation fee will be involved. Rehearsals: The basic rehearsal schedule for October is as follows: Saturdays 1:30-4:30. For November and December: Sundays 10:00 - 4:00 with a half-hour lunch break Mondays 5:30 - 8:00.
