Strong Singers, Dancers, and Actors from ages 16 and up are invited to audition for the "Little Women" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on author Louisa May Alcott’s life and her book of the same name, Little Women follows the adventures of four sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March, as they grow up in Civil War America.The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. Produced nationally and internationally, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition to adapt such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope, and everlasting love – the sounds of a young America finding its voice. Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit. Additional info: Please prepare a brief excerpt (up to two minutes) of a song in the style of the show, but is not from the show. Again, singing from the show is not accepted. Please place your sheet music in a three-ring binder. Bring your binder (with other sheet music of songs you are prepared to sing) in case you are asked to sing a second selection. An accompanist will be provided. Technical Rehearsals: Sunday, November 23 to December 4, 2024 (there will be a Thanksgiving break); usually 6 pm – 10 pm (All schedules are subject to the Production teams’ needs and will be given by the Stage manager) Performances: December 5 to December 22 (12 total) Opening weekend: Thurs. Fri. and Sat. PM, Sun. matinee (4 performances) Second weekend: Thurs. Fri. PM and Sat. Sun. matinee (4 performances) Closing weekend: Thurs. Fri. PM and Sat.
