About the project: The Great Comet is a Electro-pop opera that is entirely sung through and based on a section of the classic novel, "War and Peace". The story involves young and impulsive, Natasha Rostova, who arrives in Moscow to await the return of her fiancé from the front lines. When she falls under the spell of the roguish Anatole, it is up to Pierre, a family friend in the middle of an existential crisis, to pick up the pieces of her shattered reputation. Additional info: Callbacks August 29 and possibly August 30 at 7 pm Be prepared with 16 bars of a classical/musical theatre-style song (an accompanist will be provided) and bring clothes to move in for the dance audition later in the evening. Headshots/resumes are not required but encouraged. Actors who play instruments are strongly encouraged to audition. No experience is needed. High schoolers are allowed to audition as well.
