"Springhouse's White" Christmas Auditions for Kids and Teens
Theatre Company is thrilled to invite you to audition for upcoming production of “White Christmas”. Auditions are open to girls ages 9-16 and all performers ages 16 and above. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is a joyous holiday musical that tells the story of veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis, who become a successful song-and-dance team after World War II. When they meet the talented Haynes sisters, Betty and Judy, romance and adventure ensue as they all travel to a Vermont inn for a Christmas show. Upon arrival, they discover the inn is owned by their former army commander, who is facing financial difficulties. Determined to help, they put on a spectacular musical extravaganza filled with love, laughter, and classic Irving Berlin tunes, including the iconic “White Christmas.” Additional info: Please prepare a 1-minute song from or in the style of the show. Please come prepared with a track for your song. You may use a cell phone, tablet, etc for tracks; A Capella singing is not allowed. During your audition time slot, you will present your prepared audition material and you will be taught a dance combination to perform as directors are looking for a strong group of experienced dancers to be featured in this production. You will be required to be at your entire timeslot so please pick one that works best with your schedule. ATTIRE: Come dressed to move. The fun-loving, go-getting song-and-dance partner of the team of Wallace and Davis. An irrepressible clown, operator, and incorrigible ladies' man who is determined to see his friend happy, even if it requires scheming and outright deception. Strong jazz and tap-dancing needed a song- and-dance comic performer. Bari-Tenor.
The sensible, responsible half of the upcoming song-and-dance team, The Haynes Sisters. Destined to be a star in her own right, she is nonetheless hesitant to take the spotlight for herself. A woman of decent, upstanding principles, she is devoted to her younger sister. Like Bob, she hides her yearning for true love under a protective shell. A female singer of quiet beauty and charm with a rich chest mix sound and a soprano extension. Must move well.

The General's granddaughter, Susan is a lovable and outgoing real kid. She is very smart, wise beyond her years, and cares deeply about her grandfather. Once bitten hard by the showbiz bug, she demonstrates everything that is winning in the ultimate child performer. She must have an excellent belt voice, and be able to move well.
Ensemble of dancers. Must be equally strong in ballroom, jazz, and tap. Must sing very well. This is 1950's Hollywood movie musical dancing. Covers for principle roles will come from this ensemble.
