Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "A Christmas Story"

Seeking kids ages 6-16 years old for "A Christmas Story" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: This production is a stage version of the famous movie with some distinct differences. Unlike the movie where “Old Ralph” narrates the story and is never seen, in the play Old Ralph, or Ralph as he is referred to, narrates from the stage, is seen, and steps in to play multiple characters. In giving Ralph an actual role in the play, the playwright Grecian, allows the audience to understand Ralph and Ralphie’s relationship better. Additional info: To prepare for your audition, please familiarize yourself with the sides (excerpts from the script attached) and if possible, memorize the lines of the character you are interested in auditioning for. Directors will be doing these sides at your audition. The following dates will be all the rehearsals for the show. September 24 – First read-through of the script with ALL of the cast September 27 October 4, 7, 11, 12, 17, 18, 22, 24, 29 November 1, 5, 7, 11, 12, 14, 19, 21, 25, 26 December 2, 3, 4, 6 December 7 – Load-In (Moving the set and everything to the Plaza Stage) December 8 – Evening at the Plaza working on lighting for the show December 9th through 12th – MANDATORY Dress Rehearsals December 13th – 15th – Performances Directors do have a relatively short rehearsal process so unless absolutely necessary, you’ll be expected to attend every rehearsal you are called for. Should any of those dates provide a problem for you now, please let directors know at auditions. Directors cannot have ANYONE miss the week of December 9th.
