Augustus's German, moronic, Wagnerian mother. Mirthlessly smiles as though it were affixed to the front of her face. Good comedic timing with yodeling skills. Vocal range top: D5 Vocal range bottom: Bb3

Rampantly, over-active and obnoxious. Good comedic timing and strong vocal comedy. Yodeling skills a plus. Vocal range top: G5 Vocal range bottom: Bb3

Veruca's goofy, eccentric, distracted, hilarious father. Finds it impossible to say no, giving in to every ridiculous demand his daughter makes. Vocal range top: Ab4 Vocal range bottom: Ab2

Vicious, stubborn, and determined. Must be proficient in ballet. Vocal range top: Db5 Vocal range bottom: Ab4

Violet's ineffectual father. Ignores his back-talking, insult-hurling daughter. Vocal range top: G4 Vocal range bottom: F#3

She needs amphetamines to get through the day and deal with her outrageous son. Tense, extreme, and hilarious. Exceptional comedic timing and vocal acting. Vocal range top: Eb5 Vocal range bottom: G3

The poor, second-hand vegetable salesman that Charlie buys the only food his family can afford. While a kind woman cares about Charlie and his family, her priority is making a living.

Another reporter who is the bearer of bad news for Charlie's golden ticket ventures but is full of wacky energy while doing so. Strong comedic timing and understanding.

A zany and quick-witted reporter who adds a delightful dash of humor to the piece. The reporter is "on the scene" for all of our golden ticket winners. Exceptional physical acting, dynamic acting vocal range, and comedic timing.

Some of these tracks may include moving and dancing on knees, performing at heights or on moving platforms, and portraying minor supporting named characters. All tracks in the ensemble will require varying amounts of over-the-top and precise dancing as well as exceptional physical acting and singing. Performers interested in auditioning for this ensemble should have some proficiency in musical theatre and/or jazz-style dance.
