Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "Charlotte's Web" Play
Seeking youth ages 10-18 years old for "Charlotte's Web" Play. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: When Wilbur, the lovable young pig, finds himself facing the butcher, his spider protector, Charlotte, begins weaving words like “Some Pig” and “Humble” into the web above his pen. Wilbur becomes an overnight sensation but still needs to win a prize at the fair to be safe. Charlotte turns to the gluttonous rat, Templeton, for help. Charlotte’s Web spins a tale of love, friendship, joy, life, and sacrifice and is one of the most awarded and best-loved stories in children’s literature. Additional info: Auditions will consist of reading from the script, which directors will provide. Callbacks are on August 21 at 6:30 p.m. Performances are October 11-13, 18-20. Please be aware there are daytime performances for Title I Elementary Schools on October 17th (directors will provide a letter to excuse students from class).
