Casting Call for Children for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
Performers in grades K-12 are invited to audition for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem – and the fun – when the Herdmans collide head-on with the story of Christmas! Additional info: For the audition, actors should be prepared to: -Introduce themselves, age, grade, school, and an unusual fact about themselves. They should be able to answer easy questions and have a conversation with the director. -Become familiar with and be ready to perform 2 TWO of the provided MONOLOGUES directors will send with your audition confirmation email. These do not have to be memorized, but they can be memorized. This is NOT to see how well you can read, but how well you can perform. -Be able to sing one Christmas carol, either Angels directors have Heard on High or Away in a Manger. This is not a musical, but since the Pageant is a show within a show, there will be some Christmas carols performed as a group. Rehearsals are Saturdays and Sundays and then everyday rehearsals start the week before the performances. Performances are November 21-24. If interested, please apply.
