Kid Audition For Singing in "Anastasia" Musical

Children ages 8-18 are invited to audition for "Anastasia" Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty, and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find a home, love, and family. Additional info: Please prepare a song to sing (not from this show), and dress in comfortable clothing for a dance audition. A piano accompanist will be provided at auditions, and we will also have a speaker available for those using a karaoke track. Please prepare a list of any conflicts you have with rehearsals for your audition. Rehearsals will be in the evenings on weeknights from September through December. Performances of “Anastasia” will take place December 4-8, 2024 at Peoria Players Theatre. Note: There is no fee to audition. Children who are cast will have a registration fee applied.
