Young Talent Wanted for "Beauty and the Beast" Show
Casting kids ages 9 and up for the "Beauty and the Beast" Show. Please see the details below. About the project: Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s classic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. Additional info: All those auditioning MUST have a song prepared to sing with a piano accompaniment. Everyone auditioning should provide their own sheet music; a pianist will be provided. No pre-recorded tracks are allowed. You must sing with the accompanist provided. Those auditioning will also be asked to read from the script. Auditions are private. Rehearsals for BEAUTY and the BEAST officially begin Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and continue Mondays through Fridays at 7:00 p.m. BEAUTY and the BEAST is scheduled for 11 performances: October 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 2024.
