About the project: Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including "Blue Skies", "I Love a Piano", "How Deep Is the Ocean", and the perennial title song, "White Christmas" is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages. Rate: All actors will receive a $350 stipend. Additional info: Callbacks Sunday, August 25, 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. PREPARE: 16-21 bars of a musical theatre song in the style of the show. Please bring sheet music as an accompanist will be provided. No taped music or a capella. Please have the music marked and in a 3-ring binder. Be prepared to sing and read from the script and score at your audition. BRING: Headshot, resume, list of conflicts REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will take place at Little Theatre Rehearsals begin on Saturday, October 12. Rehearsals will be on Saturday afternoons and Sunday afternoons or evenings. TECH WEEK: December 2,3,4,5 - 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Cultural Center PERFORMANCES: December 6-22 (14 Performances) Thursdays - Dec. 12 & 19 - 7:30 p.m. (6:00 call) Fridays - Dec. 6, 13, 20 - 7:30 p.m. (6:00 call) Saturdays - Dec. 7, 14, 21 - 2:00 p.m. (12:30 call) and 7:30 p.m. (6:00 call) Sundays - Dec. 8, 15, 22 - 2:00 p.m. (12:30 call) Actors are expected to assist with strike after the final performance. (Tenor) - The dancing comedic genius on the Wallace and Davis team, Phil flirts his way onto the train to Vermont in hopes of finding love for himself and his Buddy, Bob. Tap-dancing skills preferred.
(Soprano) - A confident singer and the more level-headed of the Haynes Sisters nightclub act, Betty is a poised, authentic realist.
(Alto) - A strong dancer, fun-loving Judy mischievously plots first to meet Wallace and Davis, and then get the duo up to Vermont, where the Haynes Sisters are schuled to perform for the holidays. Strong tapping skills preferred.
(Alto) - Generfal Waverly's granddaughter is visiting the inn for Christmas, and is inspired to test out her own acting chops as Bob & Phil's theatre company takes up residence.
(Baritone) - A former soldier in General Waverly's unit, Ralph is currently employed as a producer on the Ed Sullivan Show and works with Bob and Phil to help the General.
(Alto/Soprano) - Star performaers of Bob & Phil's troupe of Chorus Kids who are always flirting with Phil and are never seen without each other.
(non-singing) - Bob & Phil's frazzled, overworked stage manager, who tries to maintain order as the theatre company settles into rehearsals at the inn.
