Young Talent Wanted for "Footloose" The Musical
Seeking actors ages 16 and above for "Footloose" The Musical. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Based on the smash movie sensation by the same name, FOOTLOOSE - The Musical is the story of a young man from Chicago named Ren forced to move with his mother to a puritanical, small town after his father abandons the family. To Ren's shock and amazement, dancing and rock 'n' roll are forbidden. Featuring songs from the original movie, Footloose is a high-energy and excitement-filled good time the whole family will love. Additional info: Should the Production Team need to see anyone further for a Callback Audition, those who will be invited to attend will be notified by Monday, July 29th at 7 pm. The Callback audition will be held on the evening of Tuesday, July 30th at 7 pm. The Musical will play on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings and Saturday afternoons opening on September 20th and playing through October 19th, 2024. Rehearsals will usually take place Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings until opening. No Sunday rehearsals or performances. Rehearsals will commence on or around Saturday, August 3rd. When applying, please email a video that should include the singing of 32 bars of music preferably in the style of the show, and the reading of 1 line from the provided dialog sides.
