Casting notice for “The Grip” TV series. Looking for cast actors ages 15+. Please see the roles below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: Directors will be casting for a brand new drama series entitled, "The Grip." The Grip follows the lives of several diverse students attending J.J. Mayor High School in the suburbs of Nashville. The show originally revolves around a debate group, known as The Grip, which puts students from different backgrounds together in order to discuss the huge topics surrounding our current world while dealing with their own issues. Sadie Jones is a new student coming in on her sophomore year to J.J. Mayor High School. Sadie spent most of her life in Hartford, Connecticut where her mother, Julie Jones, a former mayor, lived for 15 years. Sadie and Julie moved after Julie’s divorce to her husband of twenty years. Sadie is very conservative, but is very open-minded. She is very opinionated, and has a wit like no other. She hopes to one day get into New York University. Sadie is the love interest of Jacob.
Jacob Lenore is a senior of J.J. Mayor High School. Jacob is known as the captain of the varsity basketball team there, and is very laid-back. Jacob is the older brother of Anna Lenore. Jacob has no plans of going to college as he thinks it’s too expensive. Jacob is very attractive and charming. Jacob is the love interest of Sadie.
Anna is a sophomore at J.J. Mayor High School. Anna’s personality is very sophisticated and classy. Anna isn’t interested into anything that is sports or politics, but hopes to forge women’s rights. Anna hopes to one day get into New York University. Anna is also as charming as her brother.
Trinity is a sophomore at J.J. Mayor High School. Trinity is a sweetheart, and wears her heart on her sleeve. Trinity is good friends with mostly everyone, and cheers for the school. Trinity believes in civil rights, and is the president of The Grip. Trinity goes through a pregnancy during the first season.
Rose is a sophomore at J.J. Mayor High School. Rose comes from a very strong Mexican background, and hopes to go to culinary school. Rose loves to dance and wants to make a better foundation for her family. Rose’s personality can be described as edgy and a little dark.
Howie is a sophomore at J.J. Mayor High School. Howie is strongly against guns, and wants to become a civil rights leader one day. Howie loves to walk around recording people, and is a member of the basketball team. Howie does have a temper, but is under medication to control it.
Cheyenne is a new student at J.J. Mayor High School. Cheyenne is the only freshman on The Grip. Cheyenne is very conservative, and dislikes liberals. Cheyenne is pro-guns, and believes that are no bad cops. Cheyenne loves to hunt, and ride horses. Cheyenne is as tough as nails.
