Singing Opportunities for Kids in "A Christmas Story" Musical

About the project: Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, A Christmas Story tells of Ralphie's desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his tree. Additional info: Please prepare a monologue, and a song ( if auditioning for a singing part). Be prepared to show how well you can dance for choreography purposes. Options for Audition Songs: Jean: “Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun” Ralphie: “It All Comes Down to Christmas” Part 1: The Listening song is called Counting Down to Christmas. It is a little different than the score. You can do any of Ralphie’s songs of your choice. Randy: “Christmas Morning” or “Before The Old Man Comes Home” or “Somewhere Hovering Over Indiana” The Kids: Schwartz, Flick, Esther, Mary Beth, Farkus, Dill- “When You're a Wimp” All other people wanting minor character parts can either choose a song to sing from the musical score or another song of their choice.
