Young Talent Wanted for Singing Audition "Bye Bye Birdie"

Children between the ages of 6 and 18 are invited to audition for "Bye Bye Birdie". Please see the details below. Additional info: WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: Prepare 32 measures (or one verse and one chorus) of a song that shows off your voice the best (not too high or too low for your vocal range). The song does not need to be from the show, BRING THE SHEET MUSIC WITH YOU OR A KARAOKE TRACK ON YOUR PHONE OR MOBILE DEVICE. (The track can have no lead vocals) You may or may not be asked to read from the script. PLEASE NOTE: If you are cast in this show there will be a MANDATORY company meeting for ALL CAST members AND a PARENT/GUARDIAN on Friday, August 16 at 7:00 pm OR Monday, August 26, at 7 pm. You MUST ATTEND one of these meetings in order to participate in the show. BOTH PERFORMER AND A PARENT MUST ATTEND! (Everyone must attend even if you were in a CPM show last season.) Please bring a photograph of yourself to attach to your audition form. This does NOT need to be a formal headshot. Any size photo will work. Directors ask that you list all conflicts that you have between August 9 and September 22, 2023, on your audition form. PLEASE NOTE: Conflicts during Tech Week (September 13 – 20, 2024) will affect casting decisions. Directors prefer no conflicts during this week. Rehearsals are normally three weeknights from 6:30 to 9:00 pm and 12:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturdays and/or Sundays, except Tech/Dress weeks when they will be 12:00 to 6:00 pm on Sat. and Sun. and weeknights from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Performance Dates: September 21, 22, 28**, 29 @ 1 pm October 5, 6, 2024 @1pm September 28** @ 4:30pm ** 2 shows that day 1:00 pm & 4:30 pm (Actor call time 10:00 am for 1:00 pm performances) PERFORMANCE CONFLICTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. PARENTS: There is a parent volunteer requirement of working at 2 performances (per ACTOR) for your child/children to be cast in this show. If you are unable to volunteer, there will be a participation fee (per ACTOR) required for your child/children’s participation. Volunteers sign up or fee paid will be due by opening night.
