Seeking Teen Actors for the Play "One Year to Die". For more information, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A gripping new play by Charles LaBorde developed in collaboration with Dennis Delamar tells the poignant story of two American women - one black, one white - who await official word regarding their sons’ fates during World War II. Additional info: Performances: All actors must be available for all performances. Preview: Thursday, September 19th at 7:30pm Friday, September 20th at 7:30pm Saturday, September 21st at 7:30pm Sunday, September 22nd at 2:00pm Friday, September 27th at 7:30pm Saturday, September 28th at 7:30pm Sunday, September 29th at 2:00pm Held Performances: The following shows could be added at a later time. Saturday, September 21st at 2:00 pm Thursday, September 26th at 7:30 pm Saturday, September 28th at 2:00 pm Rehearsal Notes: Generally, rehearsals will be Monday -Thursday evenings (6:30 pm-9:30 pm) and Sunday afternoons (2:00 pm-5:00 pm). The first cast “meet and greet” will be on Monday, August 5, 2024. When filling out the audition form (please see the attachment), please include all your conflicts in August and September during the rehearsal dates. Depending on your role, you will not be called for all rehearsal dates in the early weeks of rehearsal. Auditions will be cold readings, sides given to you at your audition. When auditioning keep in mind accent-wise, the play is set in the South, in Louisiana. If cast, actors under the age of 18 will need parent/guardian permission to audition and participate.
