Seeking Kids and Teens for "The Sound Of Music" Show
Looking for kids ages 6 and up for "The Sound Of Music" Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: ALL PERFORMANCES ARE PAID! Rehearsals are unpaid. Additional info: Arrive with a photo and resume or a list of theatrical experiences and fill out an audition form. Please read the entire ad so you can list any and all conflicts for rehearsal and performance. Please have the actors' correct height in feet/inches listed on the audition form. The actor should arrive with a vocal selection/song to sing with sheet music for the pianist. 16 bars of the song or one verse is perfect. The actor may be asked to participate in a small movement combination. The actor may be asked to read lines from the script. They will be given those lines at the audition if asked to read. The show runs from November 15, 2024 – January 12, 2025. Rehearsals begin on September 9, 2024. Rehearsals are held on: Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm., Mondays 5 pm – 10:00 pm. Occasional Tuesdays from 6 pm – 10:00 pm. If interested, please apply. You will be given a one-hour time slot with which to attend. Time slots will be 3 pm, 4 pm, 5 pm, 6 pm and 7 pm. You may request a time slot but it IS NOT GUARANTEED that the slot will be available.

(B3-E5, plays age 16) The oldest child, blossoming into a young lady with an interest in boys. She has a maternal edge and cares very deeply for younger siblings but still needs guidance.
(C4-G5) Learning to be confident, very much trying to be “the man” of the family.
(C4-G5, plays age 13) Misses her mother, plays tricks on Maria, Rebellious attitude
(C4-G5, plays age 10, falsetto) Instantly likes Maria, sensitive, pretends not to miss his father.
(C4-G5, plays age 9) Observant child, smart, cannot tell a lie.
(C4-G5, plays age 7) Honest and forthright, likes to enjoy herself.
(C4-G5, plays age 6) The youngest, soft spoken, sweet and shy.
