Kid Audition For Singing in "Freaky Friday"
Audition opportunity for kids for singing roles in "Freaky Friday." Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please note: there is a production fee applied. Prepare 16- 32 bars from a musical (no longer than one minute) via smartphone accompaniment in the appropriate key. Please, no background vocals and no a cappella singing. The directors WILL NOT have a piano accompanist. Sing any song of your choice that best represents your talent and vocal range (a song from the show is fine). Bring one copy of your resume. Be sure your resume is up to date. If you do not have a resume, there will be room on your digital audition form to list any pertinent information you would like the directors to know about you. Bring one photo or headshot. If you do not have a professional picture, a school photo will do. It’s important that the directors are able to reference you when casting is taking place. Bring a list of your conflicts with you. It’s important for the directors to know what your schedule is to make sure you are available for all of the rehearsals you will be required to attend. She is smart, funny, and passionate about her school's underground scavenger hunt, but sees herself as a "What’s-her-name," and easily forgotten, unlike her "perfect" mom. Must also portray Katherine in Ellie's body. Strong belter. Belter/Soprano (F3-E5)
A single mother who runs her own catering business. Overprotective and Type A, she believes she can have it all by doing it all: event planning, designing, and catering her own perfect wedding. Must also portray Ellie in Katherine's body. Strong belter. Mezzo/Alto (G3-G5)
To play 10. Ellie's little brother, Katherine's son. eccentric, naive; obsessed with his puppets.
Katherine's fiance and a contractor by trade. A warm, reliable, easy going guy. He adores Katherine and her kids. Tenor/Bariton (Db3-G4)
To play 16. Love interest for Ellie. Slouchy and scruffy, he is a paragon of adorable cool. Acts as the ""List Master"" of the school''s annual underground scavenger hunt. Tenor (C3-F4)
