Child Singing Audition for "Annie Jr." Show
Looking for kids ages 6 and up for the "Annie Jr." Show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Please be prepared to stay after you sing or return at 3 pm for a dance audition. Audition Tracks are attached to download and prepare. Download, Print, and fill out the AUDITION FORM to bring with you along with a clear and current photo. Please include conflicts for all hours of every day from October 7th through the show run dates. There will be a few school matinees and promotional appearances! If interested, please apply.

A complex little girl. She is a tough, streetwise urchin who is nevertheless vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: a newfound “family” who loves her. She has to be motherly yet independent, fierce yet hopeful. The actor who plays Annie must be strong vocally and musically; she must be capable of vocal projection without strain. This woman is definitely a “has-been.” Her distaste for her job and the children that are part of it should be obvious in every line she speaks, every song she sings and every move she makes. The actor who plays her must have an excellent sense of comic timing. Audition Song: Little Girls
Is mature, calm, cool and “together.” She is classy and businesslike when dealing with Miss Hannigan and Warbucks, yet maternal toward Annie. Grace should seem ready with an answer for just about anything. The student playing Grace must be able to negotiate the challenging intervals in “N.Y.C.” Audition Song: NYC
Is flashy and self-assured. His “moves” should be as smooth as a gambler’s, as should be the message he sells in “Easy Street.” “ Audition Song: Easy Street
Is an always distracted airhead, although she manages to pick up on any conversation involving money. She never acts as the leader, always bringing up the rear while tripping over her own feet. Audition Song: Easy Street
Interested in finding someone willing to shave their head clean for the run of the show, if possible. Must appear middle-aged, self-assured and confident. At first awkwardly affectionate toward Annie, he soon finds himself completely charmed by her. He begins his transformation when he views “N.Y.C.” through Annie’s eyes and falls in love with the city again…and with her. Audition Song: You Won’t Be An Orphan for Long

The Apple Seller opens Scene 2 speaking to Annie and giving her an apple. With just a few lines, this is a good character part for someone who is new to acting. Audition Song: Any
Lt. Ward is the policeman who questions Annie about Sandy, the stray dog. This is a great role for someone who can play an authoritative adult. Audition Song: Any
Bert Healy is the classic announcer on a radio show of the era. This is a non singing role and is perfect for someone who is naturally funny with a big voice. Audition Song: Any
President Franklin D. Roosevelt is enlisted by Oliver Warbucks to help locate Annie’s parents. He will be pushed onstage in a wheelchair. Audition Song: Any
