About the project: '"Beyond Belief" the movie is a fun Faith-Based Feature Length 80's movie featuring the music of PETRA, the most popular Christian Rock band in the ’80s who inspired an entire generation of people with their God-honoring Anthems! "Beyond Belief" the movie is an original narrative, following the journey of Andy, a teenage rocker who dreams of making it big like PETRA. As an outsider, Andy grapples with the loss of his father when he hears the voice of God telling him to "RUN." As Andy signs up for a town marathon, he embarks on a journey of faith, resilience, and self-discovery, he must learn to hear God's voice and follow it if he is to find and achieve the ultimate purpose for his life. Main Character. A young man who has dreams of making it big and going on tour with PETRA as an opening act. He has a rag-tag band that is VERY GOOD. Scene Acting + Musical Performance REQUIRED. This is a physical role with running and athletic training to prepare for the marathon. Will need to submit a video of you performing a PETRA song – there are over 200 songs, so pick one and learn it as the lead singer + Lead Guitar SPECIAL SKILLS: MUST be able to play lead guitar and sing 80’s rock.
ANDY’s 3 Band Member. Must be musically inclined–all will sing backup vocals. Keyboard–Or Keytar (Guitar style Keyboard). Scene Acting + Musical Performance REQUIRED. If you are auditioning for keyboard, perform the keys to a PETRA song on camera, if you are auditioning for drums or Bass Guitar, perform that part of a PETRA song as your video audition.
