Casting Father and Son for "Children of a Fatherless Child" Film

Casting Call for fathers and sons ages 5-8 years old "Children of a Fatherless Child" Feature Film. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. About the project: A dying man takes a DNA test in order to trace his ancestry before he dies only to discover that he has a daughter. When he finds her, they set out on a journey of discovery, reflection, regrets, acceptance, forgiveness, and hope. This is a faith-based film based on the multi-award-winning screenplay by Robert J Morgalo. Rate: There will be a small stipend provided plus film credit and a copy of the reel. Additional info:: Feature Film / Non-Union. Most of these roles will be non-speaking but featured in the scene (preferably with their real father) Work Date: Saturday, July 6, 2024. Location: Reading, PA (Berks County Area). Talent must be local or able to self-report to set with a parent or guardian. Scene: The scene takes place at night at a carnival for "fathers and sons only". Most of the kids are going into the carnival with their father (featured non-speaking roles). Except one. This one boy (speaking role) is running around frantically trying to find his father. He cries out to him "Dad, Dad" as he looks around crying because he cannot find his dad.
