About the project: Synopsis: Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. When they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow, but when one student wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway’s brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town’s citizens and the result is love that brings them all together. Winner of the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical, The Prom expertly captures all the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy with a message that resonates with audiences now more than ever. Rate: This is not a paid gig, and all actors are volunteers. Additional info: Please prepare 16-32 bars of a Contemporary Broadway song that shows off your range and your storytelling abilities. You must provide a backing track at the audition. This show will be single-cast. There will be an understudy performance. Callbacks: Saturday, June 29th (10:00-2:00) Rehearsals: August 26th-October 10th (Rehearsals will generally be held Monday through Thursday in the evenings, Saturday (!0:00-2:00), and Sunday (2:00-6:00) during the day. They will not have rehearsals on Fridays. You will not be called for all rehearsals!) Performances: October 11th-20th (8 performances over two weekends). If you are interested please apply.

Vocal range: F3- E5; Strong soloist- Needs to have a strong mix belt Teenager in Indiana. Very smart. A bit of a tomboy quality. Wears their heart on their sleeve. Not your typical leading lady. Must be a strong actor and singer with underdog energy and a charming sense of awkward/anxious humor. The ability to play the guitar an asset but not a requirement.
Vocal range: Ab 3- Eb5 Strong soloist. A cheerleader and top student. Secretly Emma’s girlfriend. Faces constant pressure from her mother and friends. A little miss perfect who chafes under pressure and isn’t quite as perfect as she seems. Must be a strong actor, singer, and mover.
Vocal range: Open; Strong singer/ dancer. Popular cheerleader at school. Kaylee’s second in command, and Kevin’s girlfriend. Bullies, but eventually learns to accept Emma. Strong singer/dancer.
