Casting Teen Performers for "Something Rotten!" Show
"Something Rotten!" Auditions. Looking for teenagers ages 17+. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Principal roles: Prepare the first 32 bars from the songs listed below for your character. Tracks will be available both at auditions and callbacks. Feel free to use the Something Rotten cast recording to assist in learning the song. Ensemble, or no role preference: You may sing 32 bars from one of the songs below or prepare a one-minute song in the style of the show. Please come prepared with a track for your song as there will be no accompanist. You can use a Bluetooth-enabled device to connect to our music player. No a cappella singing. Links to videos and sheet music will be provided on the Signup Genius page to aid in preparation. Choreography: Prepare to move! There will be a short combination taught in groups after the vocal audition. Please write down any and all tap experience on your audition form as this will be taken into consideration. Theatrical dance experience is not a requirement, so don’t let that discourage you. All dance experience is welcome and valued. We encourage all individuals, regardless of dance background, to participate in auditions.
