But Greg is determined not to be at the bottom of the popularity chart. He’ll leave that to his weird neighbor, Fregley. Or maybe Greg’s best friend, Rowley Jefferson. But it’s not going to be Greg...no way. Jeff Kinney’s popular character takes center stage as Greg’s cartoon diary becomes a hilarious and heartfelt musical. Will Greg’s plans to become popular lead him to sacrifice his one true friend? Can anyone avoid the dreaded Cheese Touch? Grab a hall pass and don’t be late for an adventure familiar to anyone who actually survived middle school. Additional info: If needed, callbacks will be held June 3-5 Those needed for a callback will be informed via email after the initial audition process has ended. Please note that a lack of callback does not mean you will not be cast, FOR THE AUDITION Please prepare: 32 bars of singing in a contemporary musical theatre style In the style of the show. An accompanist will be provided. You must bring sheet music, please no acappella singing. Monologue approx. 1 minute in length Contemporary in nature. Can be comedic. Note: The initial audition will not include a dance call. Callbacks will include movement, please prepare and dress accordingly. Acting/singing sides will be distributed to prepare before callbacks.
