"The Wolves" Auditions for Girls
Auditions for their July production The Wolves! Looking to cast girls ages 17+. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Additional info: Auditioners should come prepared with a 1-minute monologue, dramatic or comedic. Please bring a headshot and resume. Performances: Thursday July 18th, 8pm Friday July 19th, 8pm Saturday July 20th, 8pm Sunday July 21st, 2pm A Note from the Director: The Wolves focuses on a high-level high school girls soccer team. The play will require nine female-identifying actors to play these skilled soccer players. Having a soccer background is NOT necessary for auditioning for any of these nine roles, but soccer drills and skills, such as stretching, running, jogging and kicking soccer balls, will be incorporated into the blocking of this piece. The role of Soccer Mom, the mother of the one of the players, does not require any soccer or athletic skill. If interested, please apply.

Goalie. Intense performance anxiety, perfectionist, high achiever. Copes with intense anxiety which causes her to vomit before every game.
Defense. Innocent, unlucky, kind, skinny. Sixteen.More innocent than the other girls, has strong religious beliefs and a secret eating disorder.
Striker. Too cool for school. Sarcastic. Thick eyeliner. Almost seventeen. Impulsive. Exclusive. Competitive. An injury prevents her from playing in a major college showcase.
Defense. Childlike and determined to stay that way. Plays dumber than she is. Sixteen. Mother died and she’s not yet dealing with the reality of that loss. Lives in a constant state of nostalgia. Plays dumber than she is.
Midfield. Brainy, morbid, budding elitist, thoughtful. Seventeen. Curious about the world and grapples with questions of morality. Both parents are psychiatrists. Extremely verbal.
Midfield. #7’s insecure sidekick. Just switched to contacts. Father is Armenian, Mother is American. Sixteen. Struggles to be as cool as #7.
Defense, Captain. Classic (ex)coach’s daughter. Seventeen. Works to keep everyone in line. Having feelings for a female classmate and becoming ready to express them.
Bench. New girl. Awkward, different, just wants to fit in. Homeschooled. Traveled a lot. Aware of the world around her. Sixteen. Struggles awkwardly, and often unsuccessfully, to fit in.
Fragile. In Shock. “Amazing Mom” by all appearances but knocked sideways by grief.
