Casting Call for Boys and Girls for "Seussical" Show
Looking for kids ages 7-18 years old for the musical "Seussical". Please see the details below. Additional info: The informational Open House will take place Saturday, May 11 from 10 am to 12 noon at the Bell Tower Theater. You will still sing a song from the show, but instead of having a scene to read, there are snippets of Dr. Seuss books for you to recite with a brief instruction on how to recite them. Then once you have done that you have 30 seconds to share a special talent you have! (Everyone: plan to share something. This is part of the audition and not optional.) Your special talent can be anything, and there are a million different things you could do, but if you are having a hard time thinking of a special talent here are a few to give you an example: Whistle through your fingers Do a Cartwheel or Somersault Play a very little bit on a musical instrument Juggle Speak with an accent Do a very short dance routine (without music) Fold a T-shirt perfectly (bring an extra T-shirt with you!) Hula Hoop or Jump Rope (be sure to bring your hula hoop or jump rope!) Do a Duck Call You don’t have to do something on the list above! Pick something that is a special talent for you and be prepared to show us in 30 seconds. (If your special talent takes longer than 30 seconds, directors may ask you to stop at the 30-second mark, so they have time to see everyone’s special talent. Here are 3 secrets to having a great audition: -Be VERY familiar with the song and side and talent you are going to audition with, being memorized is awesome! -Follow directions. Make sure that you read all of the instructions and directions and follow them. -Have FUN! See the attachment for details and audition form. If interested, please apply.
