Casting Teenagers for "North Pole Express" Christmas Show

Looking for charismatic actors/singers/performers with excellent stage presence, improvisation, and people skills to audition for the popular "North Pole Express" Christmas show. Please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Rate: Paid rehearsals and performances. Additional info: It will be performed on the Essex Steam Train in Essex, CT for the 2024 holiday season. This is a family show that has played to sold-out audiences for the last 19 years. Looking for energetic performers who have the stamina to perform back-to-back 90-minute shows. You will need to command an audience on a moving train car, improvise, have good memorization and multi-tasking skills, and enjoy an interactive-based theatrical experience. This is a professional non-union job. Rehearsals begin on October 7th, with the first performances starting November 14th and the last show scheduled for Dec. 23rd with snow days, if needed, running Dec. 26-Dec.29. There are no performances on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Note: Your commute to performances should be within 1 hour and thirty minutes of Essex, CT. Due to the improvisational nature of the show, auditions are in person. Please prepare two contrasting Christmas songs. You can sing them either acapella or with a pre-recorded track. Also, prepare an upbeat monologue no longer than 1 minute. Your monologue should be completely memorized. You may also be asked to improvise. Please bring a picture and resume to the audition.
